Accessible Coastal Carolina Events, Sports, and Services, Inc.—or ACCESS of Wilmington—is a nonprofit organization that operates six different programs eliminating barriers to health and wellness through sports, recreation, and fitness for those in our community with disabilities.
ACCESS of Wilmington started in 2008 to raise funds to build The Miracle Field and Kiwanis Miracle Playground in Wilmington, North Carolina.
We’re locally owned and operated and are proud to support our local community.
ACCESS has grown from serving 45 children and adults in our first Miracle League season to over 650 children, adults, and veterans through The Miracle League of Wilmington, ACCESS Fit, Project SOAR, and ACCESS plAy and Recreational Therapy!
Our newest program, Accessible Adventures, launched earlier this year with the operation of two Terrain Hoppers, off-road wheelchair expeditions at our area beaches, marshes, and hiking trails, genuinely making the beauty of our coastal region accessible for all.
